G2 for Silverlight

Silverlight is a mature technology which offers power, ease of use and together with WCF (RIA) services the perfect client technology for SaaS or cloud solutions. Together with WPF as a complementary interface or technology one can deliver a very complete user experience. Adding to this the possibility to store and manage data in the cloud (Azure or EC2) one gets a broad scene for business solutions and opportunities.

While initially G2 was developed only for WPF it has been refactored in order to have a a shared Silverlight/WPF codebase and hence allow one to share diagrams between the two technologies.

G2 for Silverlight has been used extensively used with customers boasting BPM solutions, HMI dashboards and Saas solutions.While other diagramming controls and vendors focus purely on client-side functionalities, G2 offers a much more open architecture for integrations and service-oriented scenario’s. It’s conceived as a framework rather than as a control; it’s made to articulate solutions rather than standalone diagrams.
